The existing TAB located on Level 1 without street exposure was dimly lit with an impractical partition wall splitting the lounge into two areas.

The brief for this project was to refurbish the existing TAB lounge to attract younger clientele.

The challenges included:

  • Branding the new TAB lounge to be “the destination” for a sports lounge in the area.
  • Working within the boundaries of the existing building envelope to create a more open and welcoming spatial arrangement.
  • Ensuring existing clientele feel comfortable to stay while the new interior aims to attract a younger crowd.
  • The new fi tout has been very successful for the club raising revenue by up to 45%.
